Women’s Health Services We Provide
We know that every woman is unique, with her own set of health concerns. That's why we offer personalized care plans that are tailored to each patient's individual needs. Here are some of the several healthcare services the providers at C3 Cares offer our patients:
Family planning is an important aspect of women’s health. By carefully managing their reproductive health, women can increase their chances of having a healthy pregnancy.
There are a variety of different family planning methods available, so it's important to talk to your healthcare provider to find the best option for you. Some common contraceptive methods include:
- Oral birth control pills
- Contraceptive patch
- Intrauterine device (IUD)
- Implants
Family planning helps women take control of their reproductive health and make informed choices about their fertility. By understanding their options and taking steps to prevent unwanted pregnancies, women can maintain their health and well-being throughout their childbearing years.
With our family planning services, you are in control of your own health.
Clinical breast exams are regularly performed to check for any abnormal changes in breast tissue. Our provider will feel both breasts and under the arms for anything unusual. We will also look for any changes in size, shape, or color. Breast exams should not be painful. If you experience any pain during the exam, tell the provider so they can adjust their pressure or explore the potential causes for the pain.
Breast exams are an important breast cancer screening. The exam takes just a few minutes and is usually conducted as part of a woman’s annual pelvic exam/Pap smear appointment.
Pelvic exams are an important part of a woman’s annual healthcare needs. These exams allow your healthcare provider to look for potential problems with your reproductive organs, such as cancer, infections, and cysts.
During a pelvic exam, you will lie on your back on an examination table with your feet in stirrups. Your provider will use a speculum to look inside your vagina and cervix. The exam takes just a few minutes. There is usually no pain, although you may feel some pressure during the exam.
A Pap smear is a medical screening for cervical cancer. It is an important tool used to detect cervical cancer in its earliest stages. The test involves collecting cells from the surface of the cervix, which are then examined under a microscope in a lab.
Pap smears are usually performed during a pelvic exam. The procedure is quick and relatively painless, involving the use of a small brush to collect a sample of cells from the surface of the cervix.
